Stock colours start at 100 pieces. Custom branded orders start at 500 pieces and run 15 to 20 days once artwork and the sample are approved. Testing is per batch, not per sample. Every key is read tested for a valid 64-bit code before packing, and engraving and colour are checked against the approved sample. What is the difference between RW1990 and DS1990A-F5?

RW1990 is rewritable, so its 64-bit ID can be programmed or cloned in the field with a TM programmer. That makes it the standard choice for replacing lost intercom keys. DS1990A-F5 is read only, with a factory laser etched serial that cannot be changed. Both run 1-Wire and are interchangeable on the same reader.

What is the minimum order quantity?

100 pieces for stock items in standard colours, and 500 pieces for OEM orders with logo engraving, custom handle colours or pre-programmed UID sequences. Evaluation samples of 5 to 10 pieces are available before any bulk order.

How long does production take?

What is the reading distance?

There is none, and that is deliberate. The stainless button has to touch the probe, which removes wireless interference and eliminates false reads. It is the reason these keys stay in service on industrial and vehicle installations where proximity cards misread.

Can RW1990 copy a DS1990A-F5 or TM1990A-F5 key?

Yes. An RW1990 blank can be written with the 64-bit ID read from a DS1990A-F5 or TM1990A-F5 original, using an iButton programmer or the TM copier we supply. This is the normal way to produce backup keys or replace a lost original without re-enrolling the whole system.

Do you supply readers as well as keys?
