RFID keychain cards consist of coupling components and chips for each tag. RFID keychain card tags have a unique electronic code and are attached to objects, commonly referred to as electronic tags or smart tags. RFID keychain card tags have various types of tags, each with its own unique characteristics and application scenarios.

1. Divided by non battery power supply

Active RFID keychain card label

The active RFID keychain card tag is powered by a built-in battery, and different tags use different numbers and shapes of batteries.

Advantages: Long working distance, the distance between the active RFID keychain card label and the RFID keychain card reader can reach tens or even hundreds of meters.

Disadvantages: Large size, high cost, and limited usage time due to battery life. The manufacturer's ideal target is 7-10 years. However, due to different daily usage times and environments, some cards can only be used for a few months, while others can be used for more than 5 years.

Applications: Industrial, logistics, real-time traffic management, electronic wireless communication, personnel asset positioning, vehicle entry and exit control, etc.

Passive RFID keychain card label

The passive RFID keychain card tag does not contain a battery, and its electrical energy comes from the RFID keychain card acquisition reader. When the passive RFID keychain card tag is close to the RFID keychain card reader, the passive RFID keychain card tag antenna converts the received electromagnetic wave energy into electrical energy, activates the RFID keychain card, and sends data from the chip RFID keychain card in the tag.

Advantages: Small size, light weight, low cost, long service life, over 10 years, maintenance free, can be made into different shapes such as thin sheets or hooks, suitable for different environments.

Disadvantage: Due to the lack of internal power supply, the distance between the RFID keychain card label and the RFID keychain card reader is limited, and generally requires a high-power RFID keychain card reader.

Applications: anti-counterfeiting traceability, asset management, book management, document and archive management, logistics supply chain management, etc.

Semi active RFID keychain card label

The advantage of a semi active keychain is that it serves as a special symbol for both active integrated keychains and passive keychains. Under normal circumstances, it is in a dormant state, not working, and does not send any information to the outside world. The RFID keychain card will only be activated when it enters the activation signal range of the low-frequency activator.

Advantages: Compared with passive tags, semi-active tags have faster response speed and higher efficiency. Compared to active tags, semi active tags consume less battery power.

Disadvantages: Large volume and high cost.

Application: Based on semi-active RFID keychain card access control management, accurate personnel positioning, item positioning, regional positioning management, parking lot management, perimeter management, electronic fence and security alarm, and other fields.

2. Divide by tag operating frequency

Low frequency RFID keychain card label

The typical operating frequency of low-frequency tags is 125kHz to 134.2kHz. Low frequency tags are generally passive tags mentioned above. The working energy of the tag is obtained from the radiation of the coupling coil of the reader through inductive coupling, and the reading and writing distance is relatively small, usually 10cm and generally less than 1 meter.

Features: Energy saving, strong permeability, and low external interference; However, the data transmission speed is slow, the amount of label storage data is small, the data transmission speed is low, the flexibility is poor, and it is not easy to recognize, so electronic labels can only be read one-on-one in a short period of time. It can only be applied to low-speed and close range recognition applications.

Application: Suitable for applications such as access control, attendance, electronic toll collection, electronic wallets, etc. with low transmission speed and small data volume. Low frequency tags have a low working frequency and can penetrate through water, organic tissues, and wood. Its appearance can be made into earrings, collars, pills or injections, suitable for marking animals such as cows, pigs, pigeons, etc.

High frequency RFID keychain card label

The common operating frequency of high-frequency tags is 13.56MHz, and its working principle is basically the same as low-frequency tags, making it a passive tag. The working energy of the tag is obtained from the radiation of the coupling coil of the reader through inductive coupling, and the reading and writing distance is generally less than 1 meter.

Features: It is divided into 14443A/B and 15693 protocols. 14443A/B is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction near-field coupling, with close proximity but many encryption protocols, mainly used for identification purposes; The 15693 protocol is the principle of electromagnetic induction near-field coupling, mainly affected by metal interference.

Application: Widely used for anti-counterfeiting and traceability, high-frequency tags can be easily made into card structures. Typical applications include electronic identity recognition, electronic tickets, campus cards, and identity recognition cards for access control systems. China's second-generation ID card is embedded with a 13.56MHz RFID keychain card chip according to the ISO/IEC 14443B standard.

UHF RFID Keychain Card Label

The typical ultra-high frequency operating frequency is 860MHz~960MHz, with the EU designated ultra-high frequency being 865~868MHz, the US 902~928MHz, India 865~867MHz, Australia 920~926MHz, and Japan 952~954MHz

Features: Ultra high frequency has a wide range of functions, fast data transmission speed, but high energy consumption, weak penetration, and cannot interfere too much in the operating area.

Application: Ultra high frequency RFID keychain cards are widely used in supply chain management, production line automation management, aviation packaging management, container management, parking lot management, non parking fee management, library management, warehouse management Wait a minute.

Microwave label

The main operating frequency of the microwave RFID keychain card is 2.45GHz to 5.8GHz. Microwave tags can be passive, semi passive, or active. Passive and semi passive tags communicate with the reader through backscatter, while active tags communicate through their own transmitters. Passive microwave tags are usually smaller than passive ultra-high frequency tags, with the same reading range of about 5 meters. The reading range of semi passive microwave tags is 30m, but the reading range of active microwave tags can reach around 100m.

Feature: The antenna of the microwave tag is directional, which helps to determine the reading area of passive and semi passive tags. Due to the short wavelength of microwaves, microwave antennas are more easily designed to work with metal objects. The bandwidth on the microwave frequency band is wider, and there are also more frequency hopping channels. However, due to many household devices, such as cordless phones and microwaves, there is more interference in the microwave frequency band.

Application: Generally used for remote recognition and recognition of rapidly moving objects. For example, close range communication and industrial control, logistics, railway transportation identification and management, as well as non parking electronic toll collection (ETC) systems on highways.

3. Divide by label packaging type

Sticker style RFID keychain card label

Sticker style RFID keychain card tags generally consist of a surface layer, a chip and antenna circuit layer, an adhesive layer, and a bottom layer. RFID keychain card tags are inexpensive and have a pasting function, which can be directly pasted on the tag. The surface can usually be printed with text.

Application: Usually used for factory packaging box labels, asset labels, clothing, item labels, etc.

Plastic encapsulated RFID keychain card label

Plastic encapsulated RFID keychain card labels use specific processes and plastic substrates (ABS, PVC, etc.) to package chips and antennas into labels of different shapes. RFID keychain card labels can be made of plastic in different colors, and the packaging material is generally heat-resistant.

Widely used in asset management, logistics and warehousing, access cards, membership cards, etc

Glass RFID keychain card label

Glass packaging RFID keychain card tags package chips and antennas in glass containers of different shapes, forming glass packaging RFID keychain card tags.

Application: Glass packaging RFID keychain card tags can be implanted into animal bodies for identification and tracking, as well as the management of precious fish, dogs, cats, and other pets, as well as firearms, helmets, bottles, molds, jewelry or keychains.

Ceramic electronic tags

Ceramic electronic tags are electronic tags based on ceramic material packaging, which have high electrical characteristics, high resistance, fragility, and anti transfer. The electronic tag antenna stopped on the ceramic substrate has low dielectric loss, good flatness, and stable antenna performance; High sensitivity.

Applications: such as production process fixed-point recognition, transportation vehicle management, intelligent parking lot management, bus station reporting, etc Wait a minute.

4. According to the influencing medium

Metal resistant RFID keychain card label

The anti metal RFID keychain card tag is an electronic tag that adds a layer of anti metal material to the RFID keychain, which can avoid tag faults on metal objects. Anti metal material is a special material packaged in anti magnetic and absorbing materials. The electronic tag technology solves the problem of electronic tags not being able to attach to metal surfaces.

Application: Widely used in power equipment inspection, hydraulic tank management, elevator management, vehicle management, household equipment management and so on

Anti liquid RFID keychain card label

Generally, the ultra-high frequency key buckle is directly attached to a container containing liquid, and the gain of its antenna will be affected by the liquid, resulting in a shortened reading distance (some only have a reading distance of less than 5 cm), which cannot be read during normal reading distance.

The ultra-high frequency anti liquid RFID keychain card tag is a high-performance ultra-high frequency electronic tag that is suitable for directly sticking to the surface of liquid packaging. It has strong anti liquid interference ability, can penetrate a certain thickness of liquid packaging, and has good multi label readability.

Application: Mainly used in fields such as liquid packaging, checkout counters, vending cabinets, intelligent logistics, anti-counterfeiting traceability, and unmanned retail.
