Have you ever used a retail cabinet that was unattended? The unattended retail cabinet won't have the shame of "paid for but not shipped" like the old unmanned vending machines did. With the new style of unmanned retail cabinet, all you have to do to open the door, remove the items, and then shut the cabinet door is scan the code; the system will then calculate the price for you.

Every product has an "ID card"
When you take out the products from the kiosk, you will find that there is a long label attached to the items; looking through the light, it seems that there are "wires" going around in this label. This is exactly the "identity card" of each item. This tag is called a radio frequency identification tag (RFID).
The RFID system includes readers, electronic tags and application systems. Whenever you take away a product, the RFID reader in the small shop cabinet will send out a signal of a specific frequency. The tags on each product receive the signal, and part of it is converted into a DC current to activate the tag, and then the tag transmits its own data information Feedback to the reader to complete the statistics of the product. The system knows what you have taken by calculating the number of reduced tags.

There is no need to manually align the product for scanning, as long as the electronic tag is within the reading range, it can be quickly identified.
The small shop usually installs a wide-angle camera on the top of each floor. By comparing the photos before the cabinet door is opened and after the cabinet door is closed, each item is identified, and the product taken away is obtained.
Using this method, the processor in the kiosk needs to process multiple photos, which has higher requirements on the processing speed of the system, so it often happens that the mobile phone has been waiting on the checkout page after the purchase.
No matter which product identification method is used by the small shop, there will generally be a dedicated surveillance camera to monitor the user's purchase behavior. At the same time, when scanning the code to open the cabinet door, the related services of the kiosk will ask to obtain some personal information. When the order is abnormal, the manager can quickly lock the problem order and call the relevant monitoring. So, don't even try to get something for free from the small shop.
