Using your NFC metal card is super simple:

Hold it Close: Just hold your card within an inch or two of the payment terminal.

Look for the Symbol: Make sure it's over the contactless symbol on the reader.

Tap and Go: You'll hear a beep or see a checkmark on the screen. That's it! Payment complete.

Pro Tip: Some metal cards are a bit thicker. If it doesn't work on the first try, just try a slightly different angle or hold it there for a second longer.

How do the signals pass through metal? That's where its ingenuity lies. A small opening is designed into the card to accommodate an anti-metal tag containing an NFC chip, allowing radio waves to pass through. The rest of the metal casing shields the chip, making it even more secure.

1.The payment terminal emits a weak radio signal to power nearby cards.

2.When you bring the metal card close, the signal activates the chip inside the card.

3.The activated chip then establishes a secure, encrypted communication with the terminal, sending a one-time transaction code.

4.The terminal sends this code to the bank for verification, and the transaction is approved instantly.

1.Q: Is it the same as RFID?
A: Kind of, but not exactly. NFC is a type of RFID, but it's designed for very short-range communication (like a few centimeters), which is why it's perfect for secure payments.

2.Q: Will the metal block the signal?
A: Good question! The card is designed with this in mind. The chip is placed in a way, and sometimes a small plastic window is added, to ensure the signal gets through just fine.

3Q: What if my phone has an NFC wallet (like Apple Pay or Google Pay)?
A: They work on the same technology! The card is just a dedicated physical version. Some people prefer the card for its style and because they don't have to unlock their phone.

4.Q: Are they safe from skimmers?
A: Much safer than a magnetic stripe! Since you have to be extremely close to the card and it uses encrypted codes, it's very hard for thieves to steal your information compared to the old swipe method.
