Automated animal feeding can reduce manual labor intensity, lower labor costs, and improve the automation level of breeding. The research on the navigation and positioning system of automatic feeding robots is the key to achieving automated feeding. Based on RFID tag navigation and positioning technology, intelligent feeding robots can automatically run, accurately locate, and recognize animals according to the program.

 

Arrange RFID readers and writers on the automatic feeding robot, install RFID site positioning tags on the train track nodes. When the automatic feeding robot passes through the train track nodes, the RFID readers and writers collect tag information (including station information) to achieve precise navigation and positioning of the automatic feeding robot.

 

The phased actions of the feeding robot in RFID technology:

1. The feeding robot moves to the feeding supply station and receives the material;

2. Move along the train track to the designated label position of each animal rack in the animal breeding warehouse;

3. Spin out the feeding pipe;

4. Pour feed into the funnel of each cage in each animal rack. Until the feeding robot's own reserve of feed is used up, it returns to the feed supply station, receives feed, or charges.

 

The RFID automatic feeder reader tracks and collects individual animal food intake, body condition, feeding time, etc. during animal feeding, and binds them with animal identity. The collected information is then uploaded to the database through wireless network. The system data model will autonomously analyze the physiological status of individual animals based on this information, and automatically and reasonably adjust the food intake and proportion of each individual. The feeding amount is then controlled through a control machine, Realize scientific and precise feeding.

 

Design a positioning system for an automatic feeding robot using RFID, where RFID tag stations belong to absolute positions. Among them, in order to enable the automatic feeding robot to automatically recognize animal feeding shelves, storage locations, and other sites, RFID tag information needs to be designed and classified.

 

Therefore, the information on RFID tags should include shelf information, cargo location information, as well as acceleration station information, deceleration station information, turning station information, etc. Place the RFID tag on the train track, and the station information contained inside corresponds to the absolute position of the station for the detection of the RFID reader. When the RFID tag information is detected, the position of the automatic feeding robot corresponds to the RFID tag, and the positioning and feeding of the automatic feeding robot are completed sequentially.
