Mifare Classic 1K card is abbreviated as M1 card, which is a non-contact radio frequency card. The technology for communicating with the radio frequency card is called near field communication technology, or NFC for short.

The M1 card is divided into 16 sectors, each sector corresponds to 4 blocks (block 0-block 3), a total of 64 blocks, numbered 0-63. The 0th block of the 0th sector is used to store the manufacturer code, which has been solidified Cannot be changed. Blocks 0-2 of the remaining areas are used to store data, and block 3 is the control block used to store password A, access control, and password B. The structure is as follows:

A0 A1 A2 A3 A4 A5 FF 07 80 69 B0 B1 B2 B3 B4 B5

(Password A 6 bytes) (Storage control 4 bytes) (Password B 6 bytes)

Moreover, the password and storage control in each sector block 3 are all independent, and various operations of the sector are independently controlled. Each sector can realize different functions, so it is widely used as a card.

Each block in the card contains 16 bytes, so the capacity of the M1 card = 16 sectors * 4 blocks * 16 bytes = 1024 bytes = 1k (the origin of the M1 card).

The first segment of the first sector of the card stores a globally unique UID. Others have UID validation bits and manufacturer information. For cards produced according to specifications, this segment will be written-protected at the factory and can only be read and cannot be read. Write. Of course, there is also a special UID card, UID can be modified.

Mifare 1K Card is widely use for community access control, personnel management, identification card, mobile phone tag card.
